i’m coming to dc

WSA adsense code -->

So, I ended up buying up plane tickets to DC.

I get in on Wed Nov 28 at 14:10 and leaving at 21:55 0n Mon 3 Dec.

Ideally someone will suggest a DC pfblogger (plus me) meet up.

Or failing that give me some great ideas as to what to do.

I’m so second guessing this decision.

  1. I think it’d be cool if DC PF bloggers had a get-together.

Otherwise I don’t know jack about DC, I just live here. ;-) But here’s some recommendations I can make from places I’ve been:

The Library of Congress is beautiful! Some friends and I made the pilgrimage on Saturday. Georgetown is a nice area for walking, has some beautiful shops and streets. National Galleries have some superb art. I still haven’t seen all I want to. Plus there’s a Smithsonian for everything.

I had lunch Saturday in the old Post Office pavilion which is now a food court on the bottom floor. It’s got magnificent architecture.

There’s also the Shrine of the Immaculate conception, the Franciscan Monastery (Basilica of the Holy Land or somesuch), and the National Cathedral if you’re into churches.

  2. I’m not a PF blogger, but I love living in DC.
I recommend wandering around Dupont Circle and Adams Morgan/ U St area.

Also the Smithsonian is great– and free! They frequently have free film festivals.

  3. Wonder if any weirdos will try to meet you at the airport… ;)

    Not me though, I won’t be there…

Hope you enjoy yourself… main thing I remember about DC was the foot long chilli dogs but that was rather a long time ago!

  4. Which reminds me.

Weirdos, I do not need you to follow me from England across the world.

    Thanks.
