credit and debt

if i were debt free…

WSA adsense code -->

I’ve been tagged by fellow m-network member debt-free revolution, so here goes.

If I were debt-free I wouldn’t change anything about my life. I would probably put some of the money I use to pay off my mortgage and student loans into investing and some into travelling to various places I want to see and generally giving my budget a lot of breathing room. I’d still have a house to maintain, so that expense isn’t gone if I don’t have a mortgage.  I’d still get up and go to work every day.

I guess I don’t think that being debt-free is such a major revolution.

In the spirit of these things, I’m going to tag some fellow Brits:

  • the in-debt net
  • the diary of a reformed spendaholic
  • simple pound

and some folks from across the pond:

  • rocket finance
  • mapgirl’s fiscal challenge
  • mrs micah

  1. If I were debt-free, I will surely have more savings, investments and able to give more money to people around me. I really want to make money works for me…I’d still go to work everyday though :)

  2. If I were debt-free I would build a playground for the Catholic grade school my sons went to. These kids had a parking lot for a playground with hardly anything to play on. It’s a great school … just a lame playground. That’s always been at the top of my dream wish list for paying it forward.

  5. Give me a few days. I’m decompressing from a trip and I’ll need to do some fantasizing on what a debt-free life looks like. (Kind of hard to see the forest for the trees right now. You know what I mean?)

    I hope you had a happy weekend. I did!

  6. Most people do not realize how nice it is to be debt free until they are swamped in debt. I remember thinking when I was young about how I had no debt problems, but I took it for granted. Then once I got myself in a somewhat sticky situation with debt then it really dawned on me how nice it was to be debt free.
