stupid plonkee fund?

I have a confession to make.

Last night I was supposed to meet up with some friends at 6:30pm to go to a comedy club. Unfortunately we have a new starter at work and we were doing some welcoming drinks for him which I didn’t realise clashed. I ended up having one drink with my colleagues and leaving at 6:20. I then had to get a cab to the comedy place as its about 3 miles away from work, I arrived at 6:45pm and this cost me �13. Sadly, we didn’t get in to the comedy club as it had sold out before we got there (this wasn’t my fault) saving myself �5. Instead of watching some comedy, we had a few drinks in the pub (about �8 worth) and I caught the bus home. I didn’t have the right change so had to spend a �2 coin. The worst part is that I got home at midnight to discover that I’d left my house keys at midnight, had to walk back to the office (takes an hour), pick up my keys and then I got another cab back home, costing �7.

I’d budgeted �15 for the whole evening� and I ended up spending �30. On cabs.

I think I might need to start a ’stupid plonkee’ fund.

    Sorry to hear about this mishap Plonkee. Bad things happen to good people and stupid things happen to smart people.

    If it makes you feel any better, my 1 week renovation is taking 3 weeks so far and still going.

    Yeah that makes me feel better. I wouldn’t say that I was a smart person though.

    I hate when crazy stuff happens and completely throws everything off. You weren’t stupid! Just a wee bit disorganized.
